Not only have we halved the cost of an MOT which at £27.40 is now the best value in town but we have also fully implemented the stringent new EU inspired additional safety checks; incorporated into the MOT test in 2013.  So you get more peace of mind for less £££.

These checks, designed to cope with the additional technologies that are (these days) pretty well standard in most cars represent the biggest changes to the MOT test since the early 1990’s.  And they include:

• Electronic handbrakes, electronic stability checks and dashboard warning lights
• Steering and suspension including the steering lock
• Headlight lens checks
• Wiring and battery positioning in the engine
• Built-in tyre pressure monitors which warn of slow punctures, airbag warning lights and speedometer
• Seat adjusters and Door locks must be in fully working order
• Exhausts, catalytic converters  and fuel pipes must be in working order
